Since its inception, CARF has managed to garner enough support from the donating community. CARF has spent more than Rs 80 million in terms of Cacer aid till 2010 fiscal. It also ensures total cancer aid reaches to the needy cancer patients in letter and spirit. At CARF, the number of patients aided financially and counselled has increased over the nine years, since 2001. With a paltry donation from the well wishers, CARF provided medical aid and monetary assistance to five patients; who were being treated at only one hospital then. In this year CARF received merely Rs 17, 500 in terms of funds. Gradually CARF saw a substantial increase in the number of patients plus the hospitals where they were being treated and the amount of money in terms of funds. By the end of 2010, CARF spent Rs 838, 83, 407, an amount more than Rs 8 million. With the number of patients which has increased by many times, the need to raise more funds has spurred CARF to look for new avenues, ie., to reach out to other well wishers. As a result, CARF appeals to the global community to donate and help bridge the gap in the funds collected and the number of cancer patients.
