Let's take oath to shunn tobacco on World No Tobacco Day

The dreaded disease has affected more than 2.8 million people in India alone. To make the scenario worst, the instances of Head and Neck Cancer have seen a steep rise in the recent past too. The World Health Organisation has been active and exhorting through various media the masses to stop the use of tobacco.
Every year the last day of May is observed as World Anti Tobacco Day. Organisations saying no to tobacco use take it upon themselves the duty to prevent the people falling into the dreaded hands of cancer. Cancer Aid and Research Foundation works day in and day out to reach out to the masses, particularly the youth, entangled in the tobacco addiction. It is estimated that around the world the tobacco use has found more than 20 million people as its victims. In India alone the figure of tobacco victim exceeds the figure in any other country. More than 2.8 million tobacco users have become victim to the cancer. As per another estimate the number is rising sharply. Cancer Aid and Research Foundation has tied up with a few musical groups to hold an awareness-cum-musical event on May 31; World Anti Tobacco Day. CARF, the famous acronym for the NGO, appeals to the people, those who have been affected and those who want to help CARF in any capacity to join hands with the NGO. Come join us to stop the smoke reaching our homes so that our children are protected from it. Or wait till it evolves into a smog and hovers over our roofs endangering our very existence.
