The rural India more susceptible to cancer...


Pic for representation: A recent study has concluded that smoking bidis is much more dangerous than smoking cigarettes. The rural population becomes much vulnerable to the dreaded disease, Cancer. Unfortunately there are not pro active oganisations active in the villages leaving the villagers without any proper guidence and cure.
 A recent study has revealed that the smoking bidis is more dangerous than smoking cigarettes. The study published in the recent issue of Mumbai based newspaper Daily News and Analysis explores the ill effects of bidis on humna health. The bidi smoking also affects drastically the passive smokers. Large chunk of the rural populace smokes bidis exposing them more to the dreaded disease. Urban areas have a number of organisations and NGOs working in the field of tobacco control. Unfortunately the rural areas don't have such groups which can help eradicate cancer by curbing the number of people smoking bidis
